Friday Favorites

In the last 24 hours I have put some serious thought into what my "Friday Favorite" would be this week.  Then, as if it were meant to be, the kids each brought me home an envelope, and the answer was right there, looking me in the face.  This week, I have 2 favorite things.

This dude is one of my favesies.  He is really smart, really funny, and incredibly handsome.  I'm so proud to be his mom.

This little princess is my other favesie.  She is wise beyond her years, still loves to snuggle with me every chance she gets, and she is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.

Friday Favorite Things

My wonderful best friend & life partner Andrea had this idea to do a "favorite things" post on Fridays...so I am channeling my inner Oprah, and posting about my favorite thing today.

The winner is.... Farm Fresh To You

Every 3 weeks, I wake up in the morning to a box full of fresh, seasonal, organic fruits and veggies. AND fresh pasture raised eggs.  It's delightful.  The good thing about this delivery service is that you can go in and customize your box.  You can take out what you don't like, and add what you do.  You can change your delivery to every week, every other week, etc.

It's nice to see things in the box that I normally wouldn't buy at the grocery store, and it inspires me to try new recipes.  It's like Christmas to see that box!

Also, since I mentioned my besters, I should link to her amazing blog.  Life By Lady B

The Mac Family Blog is Back!

After completely abandoning the Mac Family Blog a couple years ago, I decided I missed it...so we're back!

For my first post I thought it fitting to tell a cute story about my kids.

It was about 7:30am and I successfully got 2 kids, 2 backpacks, 2 lunch boxes, and of course, my coffee all packed into the car for morning school drop offs.

We were driving to drop off Dylan first, and of course bumping Radio Disney, because that's all Maddie will tolerate, and the song "Cool Kids" comes on. Dylan asks, "What makes a kid cool, anyway?" To which Maddie replied with her 5 years of wisdom, "Doing things for others." I instantly felt proud. Then she adds, "Oh, and wearing cool stuff."

That's my girl.
